Two 17-year-old boys were issued delinquency complaints accusing them of burglary, theft and resisting arrest after they took cash Tuesday night from the register at Ryerson Market, Capt. Laurence Martin said.

Officers found signs of forced entry and bloodstains at the Ryerson Avenue business around 8:40 p.m., Martin said.

They then found the two boys with bloodstains on their clothing nearby and they appeared to be under the influence, the captain said. They resisted arrest but were brought back to police headquarters and later released to family members, he said.

Detectives were investigating a car spotted at the scene with two adults inside, Martin said.

"The quick response form the uniformed officers and coordinated actions by all responding officers resulted in this crime being quickly ended and the suspects captured," the captain said.
